
IRPC, Boon Rawd Brewery, and PTT Announce Successful Development of rPET and rHDPE Recycled Plastic Innovation to Advance the Circular Economy
4 February 2026 – IRPC Public Company Limited, Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd., and PTT Public Company Limited have announced the successful development of an innovative recycled plastic compound combining rPET and rHDPE, reinforcing the Thai industrial sector’s commitment to advancing the Circular Economy. The announcement ceremony was attended by Mr. Terdkiet Prommool, President and Chief Executive Officer of IRPC Public Company Limited; Mr. Piti Bhirombhakdi, First Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Production Officer, Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Prasong Intaranongpai, Chief Operating Officer, Downstream Petroleum Business Group, PTT Public Company Limited. This innovative rPET and rHDPE recycled plastic compound enhances the value of post-consumer materials by transforming them into high-performance products. It offers superior strength compared to conventional recycled plastics, improved impact resistance, and suitability for repeated use. The material is industrially viable, environmentally friendly, and is currently pending patent registration. This collaboration underscores the power of integrating expertise, technology, and capabilities across the entire value chain to meet growing market and consumer demand for sustainable solutions. IRPC Partners with Government & Academia to Advance Thailand’s Net Zero Goal
22 January 2026 – IRPC participated in the “The 2026 Aroon Sorathesn Commemoration” under the theme “Beyond Boundaries: Scope 3 & the Future of Low-Carbon Business.” The forum served as a knowledge-sharing platform on greenhouse gas (GHG) management, with a strong focus on Scope 3 emissions. The event was organized by the Aroon Sorathesn Foundation, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, and the Carbon Institute for Sustainability (CBiS). Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiyaporn Puprasert, Chairman of IRPC, delivered a keynote on “Sustainability of IRPC,” highlighting the proactive role of industry in driving sustainability through concrete, environmentally responsible operational transformations toward a low-carbon business model. A special lecture titled “Thailand’s Climate Change Act and the New Era of Net-Zero Governance” was delivered by Dr. Phirun Saiyasitpanich, Director General Department of Climate Change and Environment. IRPC signs MOU to leverage Thailand’s plastic industry towards Industry 5.0
8 January 2026 – IRPC, in collaboration with SCGC and GC, aims to upgrade innovative development and flood prevention IRPC Public Company Limited (IRPC) led by Terdkiat Prommool, President and Chief Executive Officer, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Plastics Institute of Thailand to enhance the competitiveness of Thailand’s plastics industry. The signing took place at the “DIPROM Rama IV Open House”, organised by the Department of Industrial Promotion under the Ministry of Industry. The signing ceremony was presided over and witnessed by Dr Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana,Minister of Industry, along with senior executives from both the public and private sectors. This collaboration is one of three MoUs between the Plastics Institute of Thailand and key industry partners, namely IRPC, SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited (SCGC) and PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC). IRPC Honoured for Greenhouse Gas Management Excellence
(September 15, 2025) IRPC Public Co., Ltd. has been recognised with the “Climate Action Excellence Awards 2025” for its outstanding performance in greenhouse gas management. The honour was received on behalf of the company by Mr Pongsak Wattanakarunwong, Senior Vice President of Sustainable Strategic Plan, and presented by Mr Kittipong Limsuwanroj, Executive Director and Chairman of the Climate Change Pillar of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), during the Climate Change Forum 2025: Driving towards Net Zero, held at M Tower, Bangkok. Organised by the Climate Change Institute (CCI) under the FTI, the forum provided a platform for sharing knowledge on climate change and accelerating Thai industry’s journey towards the Net Zero goal. IRPC showcased its innovations at the “National Science and Technology Fair 2024”
On August 17, 2024. Ms. Arisara Suthasut, Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs, IRPC Public Company Limited and a board member of the United Nations Global Compact Network Thailand (UNGCNT), attended the event’s opening ceremony and visited the IRPC and PTT Group innovation booths. This year, UNGCNT and its partners displayed world-changing innovations aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to inspire students to appreciate the role of science and technology in advancing sustainability. These innovations were featured in the “THE GLOBE VENGERs” exhibition. IRPC mobilizes greenhouse management through carbon footprint platform towards Net Zero goal.
On February 8, 2024, Mr. Somboon Satasin, Senior Vice President, Quality, Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental addressed “Leadership Vision Towards Net Zero Goals” and appointed Mr. Maithree Sakulkittimasak, Senior Officer, Environmental Management as representative of IRPC to joine in the opening ceremony of “Carbon Footprint for Organization Platform Testing on the Net Zero Pathway” with the objective to promote greenhouse management certified by Carbon Footprint for Organization: CFO in various sectors by using platform developed by Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) as an accurate, convenient and rapid assessment tool in line with international standards; in addition, it can also support verification by data verifiers whereby TGOs can review and communicate with reporting organizations and verification agencies seamlessly through the developed platform which allows business sector to efficiently move towards Net Zero goal.
