The Company has implemented a prosthetics project by donating PP (Polypropylene) plastic pellets to the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H. The Princess Mother. These pellets are used as materials to create prosthetics for amputees, aiming to develop and enhance the quality of life for amputees through a Creating Shared Value (CSV) approach. The Company utilizes its commercial products to create opportunities for people with disabilities to receive mutual benefits. The project has been going on from 2011 until present.

IRPC’s plastic pellet products are not only used to produce prosthetics at the Prostheses Foundation (Chiang Mai Office) and at mobile royal prosthetic units across Thailand and neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Myanmar, and Cambodia, but also at 95 royal prosthetic factories located in hospitals nationwide. Furthermore, these pellets are also sent to prosthetic factories established by the Prostheses Foundation at the Military Hospital in the Republic of Burundi and the Republic of Senegal, which are impoverished countries with amputees due to civil unrest and other causes.

• Supported access to prosthetic devices for amputees through the use of IRPC’s plastic pellet products, resulting in 3,778 prosthetics produced in 2025.
• Demonstrated sustained program impact, with a cumulative total of 47,363 prosthetics produced for amputees from 2021-2025 using IRPC’s plastic pellet products.

Development of opportunities in Plastic Innovation for Health.

Currently, Polypropylene (PP) plastic is a primary raw material used in the production of prosthetics for amputees, as well as various orthotic devices for individuals with disabilities and patients. However, the production of these prosthetics and orthotic devices generate a significant amount of plastic waste, creating challenges for prosthetic manufacturing facilities in managing this waste. These plastic components are often large, thick, and rigid, making disposal or finding buyers difficult, and leading to resource loss.

The Company has initiated the “From Wastes to Walk (Manufacturing Orthotic devices from Recycled Plastic)” project, developing a collaborative plan with network partners, including: Sirindhorn National Medical Rehabilitation Institute, Department of Medical Services, the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H. The Princess Mother, Eastern Poly pack Company Limited (customer). The project’s objectives are multifaceted, aiming to achieve significant social and environmental impact. Primarily, it seeks to mitigate resource loss by repurposing plastic waste into valuable prosthetic and orthotic devices. Secondly, the initiative is designed to create social value through the development of innovative products and the dissemination of specialized knowledge. Finally, and most importantly, the project strives to enhance the quality of life for financially disadvantaged individuals with disabilities and patients by providing them with access to essential orthotic devices, thereby improving their mobility and overall well-being.

The Company collects PP (Polypropylene) plastic components from its network partners and processes them through a recycling system to produce recycled PP pellets. These recycled pellets are then blended with virgin PP pellets in a 50:50 ratio. The resulting blend is supplied by Eastern Polypack Company Limited (customer) to manufacture plastic sheets with a thickness of 3 or 5 millimeters. These sheets are then provided to partner orthotic facilities to produce orthotic devices for patients or individuals with disabilities, such as Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFOs). AFOs are used for patients with foot deformities, lower limb muscle weakness, stroke, cerebral palsy, and other conditions. The plastic sheets are also used for educational purposes by prosthetists and to produce prosthetics for amputated dogs.

Current Network Partners: the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H. The Princess Mother, Sirindhorn National Medical Rehabilitation Institute, Department of Medical Services, Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (SSPO), the Veterans General Hospital, 95 Royal-Sponsored Prosthetic Factories nationwide, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health, and Rajavithi Hospital.

• Reduction of plastic waste and improvement of the quality of life for people with disabilities and financially disadvantaged patientsReduced plastic waste and promoted a circular economy by recycling and reusing PP plastic materials, including 1,750 kg of recycled PP pellets produced and 331 kg of PP plastic scraps collected from orthotic and prosthetic device production by partner organizations in 2025.
• Improved access to assistive and orthotic devices and supported prosthetic technician training by donating 134 sheets of recycled PP plastic to hospitals and relevant foundations, contributing to an improved quality of life for people with disabilities and financially disadvantaged patients.

Collaboration with customers to develop innovative prosthetics incorporating recycled PP plastic pellets.

The project applies knowledge in water resource management to address water scarcity in drought-prone areas, while developing and managing land to increase water storage capacity for agricultural use during the dry season. It also builds upon the application of innovation and Smart Farming technologies, aligned with the concept of “integrated technology-based agriculture that is suitable for local conditions and community livelihoods, based on the principles of simplicity, cost-efficiency, and maximizing benefits.”

The project has been implemented at the Udon Thani Center for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ban Muang Sub-district, Ban Dung District, Udon Thani Province, from 2019 to the present, with the objective of enabling the Center to provide agricultural vocational training for persons with disabilities in accordance with His Majesty King Rama IX’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy. IRPC has undertaken the following activities:

• • Developed agricultural water storage by dredging three agricultural ponds with a total capacity of 79,000 cubic meters, ensuring sufficient water supply for farming during the dry season.
  • Installed four solar power systems with a total generation capacity of 10.9 kW to supply electricity for operations and water pumping.
  • Installed 14 elevated water storage tanks with a capacity of 2,000 liters each to secure water reserves for agricultural use.
  • Installed 470 meters of underground HDPE piping to distribute water across agricultural areas within the Center.
  • Drilled a groundwater well and installed a solar-powered water pumping system for domestic use and livestock farming.
  • Installed 800 meters of cowboy fencing to clearly zone areas for agriculture and livestock farming.
  • Constructed accessible restrooms for persons with disabilities in accordance with universal design principles.
  • Installed a chemical-free vegetable greenhouse (6 × 20 meters), equipped with an automatic irrigation system, and provided raised planting beds to facilitate convenient access for persons with disabilities.
  • Constructed a model egg-laying chicken house designed to accommodate wheelchair access. The chicken house was built above a fish pond, enabling an integrated “chickenÐfish farming” system in which fish feed on chicken manure, thereby reducing fish feed costs.
  • Installed a solar-powered food drying cabinet to support agricultural product processing and value addition, such as dried bananas and sun-dried fish.
  • Provided an agricultural drone for spraying the Company’s “White Bear Brand” fertilizer, reducing labor requirements and working time for persons with disabilities, while also creating employment opportunities and a sense of pride through drone spraying service provision by persons with disabilities.
  • Conducted pilot projects to improve agricultural yields and rehabilitate degraded soil using the Company’s White Bear Brand fertilizer (ZiO-2 formula) and soil conditioner (Humic X Max), enabling more effective land use. Pilot crops included Namwa bananas (Mali Ong variety) and Kaew Kamin mangoes, with produce used for consumption and processing trials.

• Income generation for the Udon Thani Center for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities: Enabling the center to become self-reliant while providing careers and income for persons with disabilities through the sale of agricultural products and drone services. In 2025, the center generated revenue (before expenses) of 230,537 Baht  from agricultural product sales and 26,440 Baht from drone fertilizer spraying services (for jasmine rice, glutinous rice, and cassava fields).
• Cost savings from improved resource efficiency and sustainable operations (electricity, fertilizer, and fish feed) amounted to 108,269 Baht.
• In 2025, the center also received support from external organizations, benefiting a total of 48 persons with disabilities, as follows:
• 33 people participated in a 600-hour agricultural vocational training program based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy.
• 7 people joined other assistance programs, such as egg-laying chicken and cattle raising.
• 8 people participated in service employment contracts.

Testing and demonstration of IRPC fertilizers (ZiO-2) and soil conditioners in practical farming applications.

In 2025, IRPC launched the IRPC Young Smart Farmers program at Ban Nong Sawang School, Ban Dung District, Udon Thani Province, marking its third consecutive year. The program integrates knowledge, innovations, and technologies from the IRPC Smart Farming initiative into the school curriculum, providing students from Grade 4 to Grade 9 with hands-on learning opportunities. The project aims to develop practical skills that can be applied in daily life while laying a foundation in modern agricultural practices for local youth.

Key activities include:

• Oyster mushroom cultivation: IRPC supported the installation of a greenhouse equipped with a solar-powered misting system for humidity control, water storage tanks, and water pumps.
• Vegetable garden cultivation: Students are trained in practical agricultural techniques, growing vegetables such as morning glory, kale, spring onions, and lettuce, which are later used for school lunches.
• Organic fertilizer production: Expired mushroom substrates are repurposed into compost, with teachers and students receiving training on production methods.
• Hands-on learning initiatives: Through the “Reduce Classroom Time, Increase Learning Time” program, students learn to process mushrooms into value-added products, such as fermented mushrooms and vegetarian chili paste

• Students developed practical agricultural skills applicable to daily life.
• Fresh produce supported school lunches and contributed to food security at the school.
• In 2025, the grey oyster mushroom cultivation project produced 632.60 kilograms, with surplus products sold to generate 30,395 Baht in income for the school.
• The program promoted sustainable practices, including renewable energy (solar-powered irrigation) and recycling of agricultural waste.

Building trust and strengthening relationships with local communities by leveraging Smart Farming innovation and circular economy principles.

Development Project since 2023. The project has been implemented in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Yasothon, and Amnat Charoen provinces to establish a sustainable greenhouse gas sequestration mechanism.

The initiative creates incentives for committed and volunteer-driven communities to continuously care for and enhance their community forests, enabling them to generate stable and sustainable income sources.

Phase 3 Highlights:

• 75 participating community forests
• 137,517 rai of community forest area under the Community Forest Act
• 96,511 rai registered under the T-VER scheme
• 11,964 households (37,647 people)
• IRPC supported project implementation across 20,000 rai

In 2025, the first-round community fund was utilized to support community development through a Community Entrepreneur Incubation Center, including:

• Development of community products and services
• Expansion of distribution channels for community products, including through “PTT Thaidet”
• Study visits for communities interested in handicraft and community-based tourism development
• Training on no-burn mushroom cultivation and community waste management

Phase 4 Expansion:

Phase 4 covers 4 provinces: Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lampang, and Nan across 140 communities, benefiting 20,759 households, representing a total population of 66,854 people.

• Promote livelihoods, income generation, and improved quality of life for community members.
• Foster awareness and stewardship in conserving and protecting forests to ensure they coexist sustainably with communities.
• Enhance forest biodiversity to strengthen ecological richness and integrity.

Collaboration with the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage to conserve and protect community forests, ensuring that forests and communities coexist sustainably over the long term.
