IRPC has actively engaged in climate lobbying through strategic partnerships and policy advocacy aligned with the Paris Agreement, which aims to limit the increase in global average temperature to well below 2 degrees Celsius. In setting its climate targets, IRPC takes into account the Paris Agreement and Thailand’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), with the aim of supporting the transition toward net-zero emissions by 2050.

IRPC supports collaboration with external partners, including trade associations, whose objectives are aligned with the Company’s climate and sustainability direction. IRPC commitments, related plans, and programs cover all jurisdictions across the IRPC Group to ensure consistency with the Company’s internal management approach and long-term sustainability strategy.

As part of IRPC’s Net Zero GHG Emissions Strategy, IRPC is committed to continuously reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across its operations and identifying GHG reduction opportunities throughout the value chain. This commitment is aligned with PTT Group goals, Thailand Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the objectives of the Paris Agreement.

To strengthen engagement with external networks, IRPC supports climate-related advocacy through its membership in trade associations and sustainability networks. IRPC recognizes that participation in these associations and contribution to collaborative initiatives serve as an additional capability that complements the Company’s internal management approach and climate strategy. These efforts support IRPC’s role in driving climate action and contributing to the transition toward net-zero emissions. Accordingly, IRPC has established a dedicated governance structure and climate change management system as follows:

IRPC participates in trade associations to support the development of policies, laws, regulations, and practices relevant to its business, while also promoting climate action and sustainability in alignment with the Paris Agreement. IRPC reviews and assesses its trade association memberships and climate-related lobbying activities to ensure alignment with the Company’s climate commitments, internal policies, Net Zero direction, and business strategy across IRPC Groups.

In this regard, IRPC has established a governance approach to oversee climate-related public policy engagement, including the review and assessment of trade association memberships and climate-related lobbying activities. The assessment considers the extent to which such memberships and activities are aligned with IRPC’s climate commitments, business interests, internal policies, climate change direction, and the objectives of the Paris Agreement. This process helps ensure consistency between IRPC’s climate-related commitments and the positions or actions undertaken through its trade association participation.

To ensure that IRPC’s participation in trade associations supports the achievement of climate-related goals and avoids inconsistent practices, IRPC has established a review, monitoring, and misalignment management framework as part of its climate change management approach. Where potential misalignment is identified, IRPC will consider appropriate actions, such as engagement, clarification, escalation, continued monitoring, or reconsideration of its membership, as applicable.

Reviewing
Monitoring

As part of the monitoring process, IRPC tracks the progress and outcomes of trade association engagement. The monitoring results are shared internally with the relevant governance body or management function to support decision-making on IRPC’s continued contribution and support.

For trade associations that are identified as misaligned with IRPC’s climate direction, IRPC will consider appropriate actions, such as distancing the Company from the misaligned position, engaging with the trade association to encourage alignment, continuing close monitoring, or reconsidering its membership, as applicable. These actions form part of IRPC’s approach to managing potential misalignment between trade association positions and the Company’s climate-related commitments.

In 2026, IRPC partner with the trade association to promote and support relevant policies, regulations, and practices aligned with the global climate change agenda. As part of this effort, IRPC became a member of the Thailand Carbon Neutral Network (TCNN) and Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD) to drive tangible climate action. These memberships enable IRPC to leverage the benefits of trade association engagement by sharing best practices, contributing implementation approaches, and collaborating with external networks to address climate change and emerging sustainability issues.
