Management Approach
To demonstrate our commitment to environmental responsibility, IRPC has established a “Quality, Security, Safety, Occupational Health, Environment and Energy Management Policy” (QSSHE), aiming to shape innovation material and energy solution in harmony with life by adopting sustainability framework. The policy emphasizes strict compliance with applicable laws while applying an integrated Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) to strengthen performance and drive continual improvement. It assigns clear accountability across all levels and reinforces disciplined risk management through ALARP‑aligned practices and the Management of Change process. The policy also outlines direction for reduced environmental impact, including commitments to net‑zero greenhouse gas emissions, improved resource efficiency, and circular economy principles, supported by ongoing research and development. In addition, it promotes transparent communication with stakeholders and provides training and participation opportunities to ensure employees and contractors understand their environmental responsibilities and contribute to better operational outcomes.
The QSSHE Policy applies to all IRPC businesses across the value chain, including production, products, services, distribution, and logistics, as well as IRPC’s wholly owned subsidiaries and joint ventures. Newly acquired businesses or sites must comply with IRPC’s Policy within 24 months after acquisition, or sooner where feasible. Furthermore, IRPC expects business partners, such as associate companies or other investments, non-managed operations for which we do not have operating responsibility, contractors, suppliers, and other licensees, and outsourcing partners with whom we have a significant involvement, to comply with the IRPC QSSHE policy.
The oversight of the Company’s environmental governance is under the purview of the Board’s Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee, while the Environmental Policy has been reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors (BOD). The strict implementation of this policy supported by executives and employees at all levels.

Environmental Management System
PTT Group’s Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS)
IRPC has adopted an integrated environmental management system for energy, air, water, and solid waste management, utilizing the Eco Factory framework and PTT Group’s Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) across all plant operations to enhance operational efficiency. The environmental management system is part of IRPC’s Operational Excellence Management System (IRPC OEMS), which has been certified against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and ISO 31000. In addition, the Green Turnaround concept has been integrated in our management approach to minimize impacts during annual shutdowns and turnarounds. For instance, operations are conducted in a closed system to manage the volatile organic compounds (VOCs), waste and wastewater, and odor control.

Environmental Management System Certification, Audit, and Verification
To ensure credibility of quality, environmental and safety procedures and system in place, the factories in IRPC have been certified according to international standards, i.e. ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System, ISO 45001 – Occupational, Health and Safety Management System, ISO 50001 – Energy Management, and ISO 9001 – Quality Management System.
Environmental Management Accounting System
To tackle the effectiveness of our environmental management initiatives, IRPC has introduced the Environmental Management Accounting System (EMA) which integrates environmental expenses, revenues and investment in accordance with the UN2001 Environmental Management Accounting Procedures and Principles to obtain accurate, adequate, and reliable data. Such data is used to plan, control, and make short- and long-term environmental management decisions to improve environmental management efficiency for day-to-day operations and reduce the cost of operations, while also creating positive impacts on the environment and society.
Through the EMA, IRPC is able to systematically capture and report capital investments, operating expenses, total environmental expenditures, and financial benefits such as savings, cost avoidance, income, and tax incentives. This comprehensive tracking allows the Company to monitor performance across our operations, with the reported information covering 100% of IRPC operations, based on revenue under operational control, ensuring consistent and reliable data to support ongoing environmental management improvements.

Environmental Impact Assessment & Monitoring
IRPC and IRPC Group’s affiliate have been conducting social, environmental and health impact studies for all projects within scope as part of the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports, which are required by law and which must be prepared in compliance with the criteria, methodology, regulations and guidelines for EIA report preparation under the Notification of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and other relevant laws.
The Company has prepared EIA and Environmental Health Impact Assessment (EHIA) reports, which have been reviewed and approved by a committee of experts. Environmental monitoring reports are submitted to the relevant government offices every six months and are publicly available online through the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning’s website (Thai version only).
