Mr. Terdkiat Prommool, President and Chief Executive Officer of IRPC Public Company Limited (IRPC), delivered 6,000 polypropylene (PP) plastic sheets to the Prostheses Foundation of Her Royal Highness the Princess Mother.

The donation was received by Clinical Professor Niwes Nantachit, M.D., Secretary-General of the Prostheses Foundation of HRH the Princess Mother, together with the Foundation’s executives, at the Prostheses Foundation in Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province.

IRPC has been implementing the Prostheses Project in collaboration with the Prostheses Foundation since 2011, with the objective of ensuring that the Foundation has sufficient high-quality raw materials for the production of prosthetic limbs for amputees. The project is supported by IRPC’s partner, Eastern Poly Pack Co., Ltd. (EPP), which uses IRPC’s innovative Polimaxx PP Copolymer resin—jointly researched and developed with the Prostheses Foundation and featuring translucency, smooth surface, flexibility, and high strength—to manufacture plastic sheets sized 41 x 41 cm with a thickness of 12 mm. These sheets are donated to the Foundation for use in producing prosthetic sockets for amputees of all nationalities and religions, free of charge, in accordance with the royal initiative of Her Royal Highness the Princess Mother.

Since 2011, IRPC has supported more than 120 tons of PP resin for the production of plastic sheets for the Prostheses Foundation. This has enabled the Foundation to manufacture over 47,000 prosthetic limbs for amputees both in Thailand and abroad, helping improve their quality of life and enabling them to earn a living and live independently in a sustainable manner.
