IRPC received excellence TGO award for 2 consecutive years.
On September 20, 2022, Mr. Somkiat Lertritpuwadol, Senior Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy Planning and Business Development, IRPC received “Excellence” awarded for Low Carbon and Sustainable Business: LCSB 2022 from Mr. Kiatchai Maitriwong, Director of Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) TGO which evaluates businesses gas emission management that is in line with the country’s sustainable development goals and took the opportunity to announced the company’s goal to drive business towards a low-carbon and sustainable society.
IRPC set goal to lead the organization towards Net Zero Emission by 2060 and Carbon Neutrality by 2050 through its ERA strategy i.e. Eco – operation & technology by improving production process and increase the use of renewable energy; Reshape portfolio adjust portfolio by focusing on innovations that support low-carbon, clean energy, renewable energy businesses that are environmentally friendly with low-carbon products; Absorption and offset is carried out in collaboration with PTT Group 2) Pilot project to study the feasibility of applying carbon capture and storage technology (Carbon Capture and Storage: CCS) or CCS Hub Model projects and reforestation projects to compensate carbon dioxide emissions.
