IRPC’s employees participate in fighting with Covid-19.
The representative of IRPC Public Company Limited gave plastic containers maintained under negative pressure to cover Covid-19 patient bed to Assistant Professor Dr. Somboon Sornsukolrat, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Rajavithi Hospital to be used in the department.
The donation came from IRPC’s employees’ awareness of the medical professionals’ sacrifices during the Covid-19 pandemic, so they decided to raised a fund for necessary equipment to protect the medical professionals from the infection risks.
The plastic containers were temporary. Their size was 1.9 x 2.2 x 2.6 metres. The negative pressure could be more than 2.5 pa. The air was purified by HEPA H14 filter according to the EN1822 standard which can filter particles of 0.3 micron for 99.995 percent. The germs in the containers were killed by UV-C. This was actually a product of the collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering, Burapha University and the Engineering Institute of Thailand Under H.M the King’s Patronage with an objective to prevent the spread of disease in the hospitals where there was no negative pressured space or there were not enough negative pressured rooms.
