IRPC Wins Prestigious Awards for Sustainability Excellence
IRPC receives the “Asia Responsible Enterprise Award 2024” and “ESG Champion of Asia – Gold Emblem of Sustainability”.
On 28 June 2024, Ms Chanida Sanhakorn, Senior Manager, and Ms Chaleeya Chaiwattana, Senior Officer, Corporate Branding & Communication, IRPC Public Co., Ltd. (IRPC), received the “Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards 2024 (AREA 2024)” in the Social Empowerment category for the “IRPC Young Smart Farmers project”. They also received the “ESG Champion of Asia – Gold Emblem of Sustainability” award, recognising the company for the tenth consecutive year by AREA, from Enterprise Asia, an independent organisation promoting responsible and environmentally conscious business practices in Asia.
The “IRPC Young Smart Farmers project” integrates innovation and knowledge from the IRPC Smart Farming project into nearby schools with the potential and readiness to participate. It creates a “Sandbox” experimental area for smart farming aimed at primary and lower secondary school students. The project’s objectives are to encourage youth to study, research, develop critical thinking, and appropriately apply their knowledge in daily life. It also aims to utilise agricultural benefits within school grounds to produce safe, chemical-free food, thereby improving the quality of life for underprivileged students through better lunch programmes using the project’s produce. Moreover, it enhances agricultural learning outside the classroom, life and career skills for students, and provides a knowledge exchange hub for youth, educational institutions, and communities. This initiative fosters community, social, and environmental development in line with the company’s commitment to sustainability.
