IRPC Supports Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association’s “Survival Box” Project, Relieving COVID-19 Patients’ Stress before Treatment
Ms. Arisara Suthasut, Executive Vice President – Office of Corporate Affairs, IRPC Public Company Limited, and IRPC volunteers gathered on March 22, 2022, to prepare 300 boxes of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to be delivered to Covid-19 patients. The packages were received by Ms. Duangporn Thiangwattanatham, Secretary-General of the Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association under His Majesty the King’s Royal Patronage (CUAA) to support the “Survival Box” project under CUAA’s management.
The “Survival Box” Project is managed by the CUAA and the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, and supported by the Institute for Urban Disease Control and Prevention of the Department of Disease Control, aiming to assist Covid-19 patients while waiting for bed or Home Isolation (HI) patients to deal with the Omicron variant of COVID-19 with an online monitoring system (Virtual Ward) 24 hours a day, which is in consistent with the “We Care by IRPC” project. Therefore, IRPC would like to be a small part of Thai society, encouraging Thais to work together to get through the crisis by providing the “Survival Boxes” including essential tools and instructions for self-care at home. Those who test positive from the proactive test of the Institute for Urban Disease Control and Prevention, which is an important mission to drive patients into the system, will be sent a communication channel to follow up with the staff. It can help lower the risk of major illness and death by making it easier to track symptoms.
