IRPC Promotes Gender Equality and Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs)

On January 19, 2022, Dr. Preeda Boonsilp, Managing Director of IRPC Technological College (IRPCT), joined a panel discussion to share experiences and best practices in support of Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), for which IRPC Public Company Limited was awarded the second runner-up in the UN Women 2021 Thailand WEPs Awards in the category of Community Engagement & Partnerships through women empowerment activities and equality in education provided by IRPCT. The event was held at Ballroom, 2nd floor, The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok and via Zoom and Facebook Live of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The panel discussion was part of the “Inclusive Leadership Means Better Business” program hosted by UN Women, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Kenan Foundation Asia with the aim of increasing awareness and understanding of how to achieve gender equality in the business sector and inspiring the management and their staff to adapt and establish corporate policies based on the gender equality idea, which can potentially lead to a sustainable growth for the capital market in Thailand.
