IRPC-Customers Join Open House of VAJIRA LAB FOR SOCIETY CO., LTD.
The Open House of Vajira Lab for Society Company Limited was held by Specialty Petrochemical Department, IRPC Public Company Limited on 29th November 2021 to introduce and present the company’s vision and mission of becoming Southeast Asia’s leading laboratory center with international standards by 2024 by specializing in providing quality testing services for medical devices and equipment. The Open House included the tour of the facility and demonstration of testing equipment such as mask-testing equipment. The Open House was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Anan Manomaiphiboon, President of Nawamintrathirat University, who also gave an opening and introductory speech along with Mr. Phayom Boonyoung, Executive Vice President – Innovation & Operation Excellence, IRPC Innovation Center, and chairman of Vajira Lab for Society Company Limited, Asst. Prof. Dr. Uraporn Phoomsantipong, Executive Director of Vajira Lab for Society Company Limited, and Mr. Pongsak Wattanakarunwong, Vice President of Specialty Petrochemical Department – IRPC Public Company Limited and Director of Vajira Lab for Society Company Limited. In addition, the event also held a seminar on how manufacturers of face masks can send their products to be tested.
Vajira Lab for Society Company Limited was formed by the collaboration between Nawamintrathirat University and IRPC with the aim of creating medical stability for Thailand, albeit the currently sufficient production capacity of medical supplies. Nevertheless, the quality testing is an important part that Thailand is still lacking. Having a testing laboratory with international standards will, therefore, help Thai people to have access to quality products that are of international standards.
