IRPC Begins Export of JIG Standard Aviation Fuel

IRPC commences exporting high-quality Jet A1 aviation fuel to support global aviation.

On July 18, 2024, Mr. Kris Imsang, President and Chief Executive Officer of IRPC Public Company Limited (IRPC), along with executives from IRPC, Mr. Thanares Prasertwong, Manager of Refined Oil Trading at PTT International Trading Pte. Ltd., and Mr. Nattaphasit Chutiman, Manager of Oil Procurement and Management at PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited, participated in the ceremony for exporting Jet A1 aviation fuel to Vietnam at the IRPC Industrial Zone Port, Rayong Province.

Following the success of the Ultra Clean Fuel (UCF) project, which improved refinery efficiency and diesel quality to Euro 5 standards, IRPC can now expand its production capacity to produce Jet A1 aviation fuel at 215 barrels per day, available for sale starting July 2024.

This achievement further develops the UCF product line, enhancing the company’s production capabilities. The high-quality Jet A1 aviation fuel, in demand by the aviation industry domestically and internationally, adds value and revenue to the company and is a crucial factor in economic development and international transportation connectivity.

Furthermore, IRPC’s Jet A1 aviation fuel meets the JIG (Joint Inspection Group) quality standards, which promote safety and efficiency in aviation fuel management. The JIG standards are internationally recognised and used at airports and fuelling stations worldwide. IRPC is ready to provide and distribute Jet A1 aviation fuel that meets the needs of customers and users comprehensively. We thank our customers and all parties involved for their continuous support and trust in our company.

Jet A1 aviation fuel is used in jet engines, passenger planes, and commercial aircraft. Currently, the demand for Jet A1 is rising in both domestic and international aviation markets, especially after the global reopening post-COVID-19 crisis. Thailand alone requires over 450 million litres of Jet A1 per month, with a growth trend expected in the future.
