IRPC Awarded 2nd Runner-Up for UN Women 2021 Thailand WEPs Awards
Mr. Chawalit Tippawanich, President and Chief Executive Officer of IRPC Public Company Limited, received the UN Women 2021 Thailand WEPs Awards: 2nd Runner–Up in the category of Community Engagement & Partnerships from promoting women empowerment through educational equality provided by IRPC Technological College (IRPCT) which encourages young women to pursue careers in fields such as science and technology and to encourage women to take up leadership roles and advance in their careers. This award also supports the company’s remarkable performance in terms of human rights values, particularly gender equality, and complies with the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights (NAP) as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Global Compact (SDG5: Gender Equality / SDG16: Peace & Justice, and SDG17: Partnerships for the Goals).
IRPC is the 64th firm in Thailand to join as a WEPs signatory as of 20 September 2021, indicating its commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering women in the business sector in accordance with the 7 Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs).
