IRPC and Innobic (Asia) Co-investment to Establish Innopolymed
On April 28, 2021, Dr. Amphorn Charoensomsak, President of Innobic (Asia) Co.,Ltd. (a subsidiary of which PTT holds 100% of shares) and Mr. Somkiat Lertritphuwadon, Senior Executive Vice President, Strategy, Business Plan and Corporate Business Development of IRPC Public Co.,Ltd., signed a joint venture agreement to establish Innopolyamed Co., Ltd., accelerating to build a non-woven fabric factory.
The fabric will be produced by using the melt blown method within the third quarter of 2021 at the IRPC Industrial Zone in Rayong Province and is expected to begin commercial production and distribution in the fourth quarter of 2021, promoting the Thailand 4.0 policy and pushing Thailand to become a medical hub. The production will improve the quality of life of Thai people and support a stable economic growth.
A non-woven fabricated through the melt blown process is the main raw material for water filters, masks, N95 masks, lab coats and air filters. It has the qualities of small and fine fibers at the micrometer level, thus, it allows a highly efficient filtration performance.
