IRPC and allies join forces with KFC, announcing their stance to create a plastic-waste-free society throughout the supply chain.
Mr. Noppadol Pinsupa, President and Chief Executive Officer of IRPC said that “Plastic waste is one of the major challenges for the Thai plastic industry through which IRPC implemented the “Eco Solution” project as a plastic waste management prototype to manage plastic products throughout the supply chain whereby plastic wastes from production till end products will be recycled properly and efficiently under the “Close Loop” working process as no plastic wastes will be released from the system to create burden to society and in turn able to supply quality recycled plastic pellets to customer.”
IRPC worked with KFC and IRPC customers and business partners to initiate “single-use plastic waste management model cooperation project in KFC store areas” whereby plastic waste from KFC stores is recycled and reused. This also create jobs and income for homeless people from The Mirror Foundation from collecting and sorting plastic waste. In addition, IRPC received cooperation from a key partner, Thai World Wear Poly Products Co., Ltd., Srithepthai Group as a manufacturer of single-use and compostable food packaging whose products are distributed to leading Thai companies that value environmental responsibility, with determination to participate in managing plastic waste problem.
